NEW England HVAC Insider News COOL SMART Awards Presented to 10 New England Contractors at ACCA Golf Tournament.

Outstanding quality work from ten regional contractors was honored recently at the annual ACCA – New England Golf Tournament at the Stow Acres Country Club in Stow, Mass. Sponsored by National Grid, NSTAR Electric and Western Massachusetts Electric Co., the tournament included a luncheon where winners received COOL SMART awards for excellence in energy efficient air conditioning installation during 2010. COOL SMART, launched in 2003, is a rebate program for residential customers of National Grid, NSTAR Electric, Western Massachusetts Electric Co., and Cape Light Compact in Mass. and R.I. The program promotes the purchase and verified quality installation of ENERGY STAR®-qualified central air conditioning systems. For the past five years, COOL SMART has sponsored the ACCA Golf Tournament and luncheon to recognize participating contractors for their outstanding service and ongoing commitment to energy efficiency. First place award recipients from Mass. are as follows:  • Atlas Glen-Mor -- Chelsea  • Boucher Energy Systems -- Mendon  • Central Cooling & Heating -- Woburn (two awards)  • Cooling Unlimited -- Reading  • Eaton Mechanical – W. Bridgewater  • Heating and Air Conditioning Services, Inc. – W.
