NEW England HVAC Insider News Johnson Controls Extends Line of YORK® Water-cooled Scroll Chillers.

High-performance Chillers Available from 50 to 200TR Johnson Controls, the global multi-industrial leader in energy efficiency, recently extended its line of YORK® model YCWL water-cooled scroll chillers to include models ranging from 50 to 200 tons of refrigeration (175 to 700 kW). Model YCWL water-cooled scroll chillers are the first chillers to use scroll compressors that are optimized for water-cooled rather than air-cooled duty. As a result, the high-performance chillers can achieve an energy efficiency ratio (EER) as high as 16.2 at full load and 24.5 at part load conditions. Charged with environmentally responsible R-410A refrigerant, which has no ozone-depletion potential and no phase-out schedule, the compact chillers are designed to fit through a standard 3-foot door for ease of installation in both new and retrofit applications. With lowMCAs, model YCWL water-cooled scroll chillers reduce wiring costs on new installations, and maximize capacity on retrofit projects.
