New Mitsubishi Electric meView App Helps Homeowners Visualize System.
The new meView™
app, the latest in a series of mobile applications from
Mitsubishi Electric, provides homeowners and professionals
with a customized virtual view of how a Mitsubishi
Electric split-ductless product would look in the home.
This tool is designed to make it easier than ever to
select and install America’s number one selling ductless
cooling and heating system.
Available
for use with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, meView allows
the homeowner or contractor to take a picture of the room,
then drag and drop various styles of Mitsubishi Electric
systems into the space. Available via free download,
meView is a handy tool for both consumers and HVAC
contractors to envision how the room would look with an
indoor unit in place.
Homeowners
will no longer have to imagine how the system will look
once installed. meView also offers convenient features for
the HVAC contractor – once the indoor unit is selected
and placed in the room using meView, contractors can email
the image to homeowners along with their bid. This feature
offers contractors a competitive edge by showing customers
how the proposed system will fit into their room design.
Contractors also can use meView as a guide to determine
the best aesthetic placement for the unit. “One of
Mitsubishi Electric’s strengths is making the lives of
professionals and their customers a little more
convenient,” says Zipfel. “We try to be proactive in
using technology to develop tools that make it easier for
contractors to educate their customers, and for consumers
to learn about our products.” The meView app is
available for free download on the iTunes Store. To learn

New Luxaire Acclimate Central Dehumidifiers Help Reduce
Moisture and Improve Comfort Levels in Homes.
65-, 90- and 135-pint models join line of Luxaire indoor air quality products
Three
new Luxaire Acclimate central dehumidifiers join the line
of indoor air quality (IAQ) products from the Luxaire
brand of Johnson Controls, the global leader in delivering
solutions that increase energy efficiency in buildings.
The new 65-, 90- and 135-pint models are designed to
remove excess moisture from the air and improve comfort
levels in homes, allowing homeowners to raise their
thermostat by several degrees and reduce annual cooling
costs by as much as 18 percent.
The
smallest model, with a capacity of 65 pints of moisture
per day, is specifically designed for condominium
complexes and applications where space is limited.
However, the versatile unit can also be used in homes as
large as 3,600 square feet, depending on the geographic
location and energy-efficient construction of the home.
As
the new Luxaire Acclimate central dehumidifiers improve
humidity and comfort levels, they also reduce the risk for
mold and other allergens. In addition, lower humidity
levels help to preserve furnishings. All three of the new
central dehumidifiers integrate with Luxaire’s Total
Comfort System approach to IAQ. To learn more, visit the
Luxaire website at www.joinluxaire.com.

Rheem Debuts The XR-90 – 29-Gallon Residential Water Heater
The ENERGY STAR®-qualified Rheem XR90 heats water 42 percent faster than a
typical 50-gallon gas water heater and costs less to operate annually
Rheem
has unveiled the new XR90 Extreme Recovery Gas Water
Heater. Needing only 29 gallons of storage, the Rheem XR90
is unique to the marketplace because it can heat water
faster than any standard 50-gallon gas water heater. Plus,
the XR90 costs less annually to operate than any standard
30-, 40- or 50- gallon gas model.
The
XR90 meets, and in most cases, exceeds the available hot
water provided by a standard 50-gallon gas water heater.
It has a first hour rating (FHR) of 90 gallons—meaning
homeowners get three times the amount of hot water in an
hour than what the tank actually holds.
The
XR90 includes a patented magnesium anode rod with a
special resistor to protect the tank from rust. The
warranty can be extended to 10 years with the Rheem
ProtectionPlus™ Kit, containing a second anode rod for
inclusion at the time of the initial installation. For
more information on the new Rheem XR90 (Rheem Model No.
43V30-60), visit www.rheem.com.

Mfg., Toronto has introduced three Flash™ professional
refrigeration system leak detection kits that include
three cans of Flash “no mess” dye, a reusable charging
hose, an ultraviolet (UV) detector light and a carrying
case.
All
kits include Flash, Cliplight’s patented new class of UV
leak detection dye packaged in “no mess”
vacuum-packed, one-time use cans that each treat up to one
five-ton unit or 64-ounces (1.8-liter) of system oil.
Unlike
all other dyes on the market, Flash does not use an
injector or polyolester (POE) oil as a carrier. Instead,
it uses Cliplight’s own Dry R™ drying agent combined
